Personal Drum – Percussion Meditation, a Solo Journey

I love music boxes and wind chimes. My good friend has purchased a HAPI drum for her daughter about a year or so ago. I just love the idea of it. I want my very own. I am trying to catch a sign of which direction to go. I am waiting to be directed towards the best one for me.

At one point I thought I wanted a HAPI since I was familiar with it. I did find one that I really thought I wanted, it was in the Key of G. It flipped over into a Singing or Humming Bowl. It also could be hung and used as a bell.

I have searched on Craigslist, eBay and on Etsy – and on Etsy I have found a few and have fallen in and out of love already. I think I have settled on the GUDA Feezbee, a medium to large sized one.

I also found one called ‘cimantone’ that’s the brand name; a Small Hank Drum called the ‘Micro6’ which sounds like a tiny wind chime, I found it on YouTube from Etsy; they also offer a travel hank drum it has a clean clear crisp sound to it is probably 3 times the size of the Micro6.

I have been advised that the Chakra tone that resonates in ‘C ‘ and you can have your drum tuned to C or purchase it already tuned in C. You can get it in 432 Hz which is used for meditation. This is where my research has taken my thus-far. I would love to be able to watch someone making one of these or be able to make one for myself…witness the creation of one from start to finish.

I borrowed this pic from Google Images that are ‘Labeled for Reuse’ I hope that I am not plagiarizing anyone by borrowing it but I just wanted to share what I am looking at and referring to.

I am really drawn to this beautiful Matte Green Color and the Sans Script Ohm in the center. In fact I would really like to purchase this one right here and right now.
