Living In Minnesota, I Was Born Here

We live in a lush land of green foliage and beautiful green lawns in the summer time. In Minnesota the summers are beautiful lush plush and green, it can be hot like Florida and the southern states. It can be humid and damp causing sweat and steaming up of the eyeglasses even. Following summer is the colorful autumn and blustery blowing orange, yellow and red leaves at our doorstep; the fall can dump rain on us and send cold shivers of wet dampness thru the skin into the bones. Nature packs up and prepares to slumber thru the frigidness of the Winter months to soon follow. The winter can sneak up on us and stampede into the yard loud and bold it is cold and gray with crisp sharp biting winds sparkling white and silvery diamonds in the yard. It can send splintering ice sickles to hang from the car like sharp threatening monster teeth. They ice can hang from the house, from the roof from the edges like teeth. You tongue will stick to metal that is frozen cold below a certain degree if you don’t rescue it with water poured onto it you’ll lose a coat of skin. It tears a layer right off; hopefully you’ll only experience that one time in your life ‘on purpose’. Now why when I was small, did I do it? I did do it when I was in grade school. I didn’t want any one to see that I was stuck, I didn’t want to ask for help. I didn’t want anyone to know I was in pain and tore the layer off my tongue. I was so shy and embarrassed. Why did I choose suffering over asking for help? Why was I embarrassed to have made a mistake? I still don’t know… I almost forgot to mention the Spring! Spring is new growth, fresh starts rain and more rain. It’s muddy feet and dirty toes and tracking inside the house. It’s wipe your paws and then the buds pop out the blossoms sprout, the flowers open and the bumble bees come out to dance on the pollen. They dance their tiny sticky footies on the stamen of the flowers and collect the pollen to spread it around cross pollination and off to make honey. We love the honey from the beautiful honey bee, you do such a wonderful job making the most perfect product!
